13th EASE Conference, 10-12 June 2016, Strasbourg, France
Following the very successful 12th EASE Conference that was held in Split, Croatia in 2014, the next EASE conference will take place in Strasbourg, 10-12 June 2016. The main theme is “Scientific integrity: editors on the front line” along with many other hot topics. There will also be pre and post-conference practical workshops.

METRICS CONFERENCE: IMPROVING BIOMEDICAL RESEARCH 2015: CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS

Schneider (University of Southern California, USA), and presentations were given on “Towards valuable research design, conduct, and analysis” by Professor Malcolm Macleod (University of Edinburgh), “Tackling waste in the regulation and management of clinical trials” by Professor Rustam Al-Shahi Salman (University of Edinburgh), and “Aims and priorities of the IMI2 Alzheimer’s Disease Research Platform” by Dr Elisabetta Vaudano (Innovative Medicines Initiative, Brussels, Belgium), followed by a panel discussion also involving Dr Jose Luis Molinuevo (Hospital Clinic, Barcelona, Spain), Rachel J. Schindler (Pfizer, New York, USA), Sabine Kleinert (Executive Editor, The Lancet, London, UK), and Elena Becker-Barroso (Editor, The Lancet Neurology, London, UK)
